“My son was now at an age that meant I didn’t need to be as flexible with my hours at work. Even though I was employed, I was aware I hadn’t been working in an office environment for a number of years and this affected my confidence. I was worried I wouldn’t even get an interview, and if I did I wouldn’t be able to show my ability in that situation. I had the security of employment even if it wasn’t something I wanted to do.
My advisor mentioned the R2W programme and explained it would help with my confidence, interview skills and get me some up to date experience. He helped me apply and I was accepted on to the programme.”
The R2W Programme
Natasha was placed on a Mitie property contract in London; she was able to build her confidence and showcase her ability and was offered a contract role with the gas team.
“I had no experience in the industry and the team were all so nice and supportive. They were so patient with me and helped whenever I needed it.”
